Samsung SM-G110B sports 3.3″ display and Android 4.4, could be next Galaxy Pocket
Samsung has already released a low-end Android phone running KitKat in the form of the Galaxy Ace Style,
and now, the Korean manufacturer seems to aiming for an even lower-end
device with the latest version of the OS out of the box. A Samsung
SM-G110B has been shipped to India for testing, carrying a 3.3-inch
screen of 320×240 resolution, which suggests we could be looking at the
fourth iteration of Samsung’s Galaxy Pocket series of budget devices.
The fact that it is running KitKat is revealed by the device’s user
agent profile on Samsung’s website, which also mentions that the
processor used is a Cortex-A7 chip clocked at 1GHz, though whether it’s a
Snapdragon chip or one of the lesser known chips like Broadcom remains
to be seen.
The release date and pricing are also unknown, though the latter will surely be somewhere below $150.
