The Samsung Galaxy F Leaks Out Again, Is that a Metallic back?
- The Samsung Galaxy F began it's stay on the rumor mill a few weeks ago. With Evleaks stating that it would go ahead and replace the Galaxy S line later this year. We also heard a bit later on that it would be announced in September, which is typically when Samsung announces the Galaxy Note phablet. As well as something else. Last year they announced the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition then the year before was the Galaxy Camera. I'm still not sold on them announcing two flagships at the same event, or even the same month. As companies like to get a ton of media coverage on each flagship and this way one would outshine the other.
- Phone Arena has posted some new pictures of what is believed to be the Galaxy F, which is the premium smartphone coming from Samsung this fall. Now we can see from these pictures very little, since it's a black device with a black background. But it does appear to have that brushed aluminum backing sort of like what LG did on the LG G3. Otherwise it looks exactly like the Galaxy S5, even down to having the heart rate monitor on the back of the phone, below the camera and with the flash. It does look pretty nice, but I'd have to see more of the device before I decide if it'll be my next phone.
- The rumored specs of the Galaxy F include a 5.3-inch 2560×1440 resolution display, 3GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, along with a 16MP camera with OIS. Now Phone Arena's source here is telling them that it includes a Snapdragon 801 right now, but when it rolls off the assembly line and into our hands it will sport the Snapdragon 805. Also the top of the handset is a bit more curved than usual, and it's also water-resistant at IP67.
- Pretty decent looking device from Samsung, and it appears to be part of that new design language we heard them talk about last year. How many of you are interested in the Galaxy F?
